Governor Whitmer Announces Formation of New “Health and Aging Services Administration”

On October 14, 2021, Governor Whitmer signed Executive Order 2021-14, which brings the Aging and Adult Services Agency and the Medical Services Administration under the umbrella of the newly formed “Health and Aging Services Administration,” or “HASA.” The Michigan Department of Health and Human Services (MDHHS) remains the overarching department for HASA.

TCOA looks forward to continuing services to our region’s older adults under the new direction of HASA and does not anticipate any changes that will impact client services at this time.
