Introducing the Elder Dignity Fund

The Elder Dignity Fund is simple. Everyone deserves the essential services and dignity inherent in food, community, and support.

Your donation to the Elder Dignity Fund helps ensure that older adults and adults with disabilities have access to information, resources, and connections. We are building the world that we want to live in, together.

Giving Levels are represented by hardy, resilient, and beautiful Michigan foliage and flora. These familiar faces of nature represent our resilient roots, our strength together, and the thoughtful fulfillment of individual longevity needs. We are the seeds, the sprouts, and the shade.

Connecting thousands of older adults, adults with disabilities, and caregivers to person-centered support -ranging from good nutrition, in-home care, crisis services, health and wellness workshops, and many other important resources each year- is more critical than ever!

By participating today, you are seeding a world where everyone can age with independence and dignity no matter what their circumstances are. Your donation increases access and opportunity to fearlessly explore longevity for all of our community’s older adults, adults with disabilities, and caregivers, while thriving in all seasons of life.

Tri-County Office on Aging

The Tri-County Office on Aging relies on community support to help provide vital services for the aging community.  Programs such as Home-Delivered Meals (Meals on Wheels), Health and Wellness Workshops, and the State Health Insurance Program (SHIP) help older adults and adults with disabilities live with dignity in their own homes for as long as possible. Quality of life and providing choice and access to services for seniors and persons with disabilities is critical. Please consider making a tax-deductible contribution to The Tri-County Office on Aging and become a Champion for Independence!

One time and recurring gifts of any amount are welcome. Donations may also be made in honor of or in memory of someone.

You may also mail a check, payable to Tri-County Office on Aging, to our office at the address: 5303 S. Cedar Street, #1, Lansing, MI 48911.

Matching Gifts

Matching Gifts

Your employer or the institution you bank with may participate in a Matching Gift program. Corporate match programs help nonprofits, like TCOA, by matching charitable contributions from people like you, and/or donating to the organizations where their employees volunteer. Giving ratios vary among companies, but they may range from fifty cents for every dollar up to a 2:1 match. If you are volunteering with Meals on Wheels or another program at TCOA, a match program may give financial donations to TCOA for the time you dedicate to helping seniors.

Qualified Charitable Distributions

Generally, a qualified charitable distribution is an otherwise taxable distribution from an IRA (other than an ongoing SEP or SIMPLE IRA) owned by an individual who is age 70½ or over that is paid directly from the IRA to a qualified charity, including TCOA. Qualified charitable distributions can satisfy all or part the amount of your required minimum distribution (RMD) from your IRA. RMDs must be taken each year beginning
with the year you turn age 72.
