Introducing the Elder Dignity Fund

The Tri-County Office on Aging is proud to introduce the Elder Dignity Fund. Contributions to this fund help strengthen and increase access to TCOA’s essential programs and services– not just today, but for years to come!

The Elder Dignity Fund can be summarized by the below statement now on our donation page at tcoa.org/donate:

The Elder Dignity Fund is simple. Everyone deserves the essential services and dignity inherent in food, community, and support.

Your donation to the Elder Dignity Fund helps ensure that older adults and adults with disabilities have access to information, resources, and connections. We are building the world that we want to live in, together.

Giving Levels are represented by hardy, resilient, and beautiful Michigan foliage and flora. These familiar faces of nature represent our resilient roots, our strength together, and the thoughtful fulfillment of individual longevity needs. We are the seeds, the sprouts, and the shade.

Connecting thousands of older adults, adults with disabilities, and caregivers to person-centered support -ranging from good nutrition, in-home care, crisis services, health and wellness workshops, and many other important resources each year- is more critical than ever!

By participating today, you are seeding a world where everyone can age with independence and dignity no matter what their circumstances are. Your donation increases access and opportunity to fearlessly explore longevity for all of our community’s older adults, adults with disabilities, and caregivers, while thriving in all seasons of life.

Embracing the TCOA logo featuring three unique trees — and their natural symbolism of roots, growth, and seasons — we are honored to recognize our donors through the following Michigan flora and fauna:

For One Time Gifts:

  • The Oak Tree (Gold)
  • The Eastern Red Cedar (Copper – another piece of Michigan legacy)
  • The Sugar Maple (Orange)
  • The Balsam Fir (Green)
  • The Juneberry Tree (Purple)
  • The Birch Tree (White)

For Cumulative Annual Giving:

  • The Acorn (Gold)
  • Cattails (Copper)
  • Butterfly Milkweed (Orange)
  • Wood Orchids (Green)
  • Purple Thistles (Purple)
  • Trillium (White)

Every gift plants a seed of dignity in our community. If the Elder Dignity Fund resonates with you, we invite you to give — and to help it grow. Share this opportunity with friends, family, and neighbors so together we can ensure that every older adult has the support, connection, and respect they deserve.
