Thank You for Your Support in 2025

Dear Tri-County Office on Aging (TCOA) Community:

As we come to the close of another year of service, Tri-County Office on Aging extends its sincere gratitude to our community for helping us fulfill our mission to promote and preserve the independence and dignity of the aging population.

As we reflect on 2025, we wish to acknowledge you for your continued support of older adults, caregivers, and adults with disabilities in Clinton, Eaton, and Ingham counties and beyond. Whether you are a recipient of services, program participant, service provider, volunteer, donor, or community advocate who helps spread the word about TCOA, our work would not be possible without you. Thank you for your commitment to caring for older adults.

In Fiscal Year 2025, TCOA connected with more than 28,000 individuals. We provided direct services and supports to over 17,000 people and reached more than 11,000 through outreach efforts. We are proud of our continued work to connect individuals with person-centered resources, services, and information. To learn more about what we do, please visit tcoa.org/services.

Throughout 2025, TCOA led and participated in several impactful initiatives. In May, we joined our fellow Michigan Area Agencies on Aging at Older Michiganians Day on the Capitol lawn in Lansing. This annual advocacy event focused on expanding access to MI Choice, increasing home-and community-based services, and supporting family and informal caregivers. Advocacy will remain especially important as we move forward to ensure awareness and sustainable funding.

Later in the summer, TCOA launched a newly redesigned website in partnership with OneWithDigital. The updated site, which went live in August, reflects our commitment to modernizing our online presence and improving access to information. We continue to make enhancements to ensure the site is accessible and user-friendly for all and welcome community feedback at tcoa.org.

Caregiver support remained a key focus throughout the year. Through a statewide Caregiver Resource Center grant, TCOA staff raised awareness of available resources by launching our first billboard campaign, hosting a caregiver Lunch and Learn, and continuing caregiver support workshops. We also developed a special brochure for family caregivers and translated both it and our TCOA brochure into Arabic, Nepali, Spanish, Chinese, and Vietnamese to better serve the diverse languages spoken within our service area.

In partnership with TCOA staff, the Advisory Council designed a new outreach initiative that will continue into the future, connecting community agencies, senior centers, faith-based organizations, neighborhood groups, and others with informational presentations about TCOA services.

In November, we proudly celebrated our 40th Annual Dinner and Auction fundraiser with a new theme, Harvest Circle, reflecting the abundance and strength that emerge when community comes together to support older adults as they age. We extend heartfelt thanks to all sponsors and donors of the Dinner and Auction and the Meals on Wheels Charity Golf Outing.

Throughout the year, TCOA’s Nutrition Program, Home- and Community-Based Services, Evidence-Based Programs, State Health Insurance Assistance Program, Information and Assistance Program, Options Counseling, and Kinship Care Respite Services were delivered by staff and volunteers whose dedication and commitment continue to make a meaningful difference.

As we look ahead to 2026, TCOA remains grateful for your partnership and support. On behalf of all TCOA staff, we wish you a joyous New Year and look forward to continuing this important work together.
